The sales will feature handcrafted glass pumpkins in a variety of sizes, styles and colors
Santa Monica College will host three fundraising glass pumpkin sales in October, with proceeds benefiting its art department and community organizations.
The first sale is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Virginia Avenue Park, held in conjunction with the Farmers Market Fall Festival. Proceeds will support both the SMC Art Department and the Santa Monica Public Library’s Pico Branch.
A second sale will take place Thursday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the SMC Quad on the college’s main campus during the Fall Transfer Fair.
The final event will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Palisades-Malibu YMCA’s Simon Meadow at Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades. Proceeds from that sale will benefit the SMC Art Department, the YMCA and local artists.
The sales will feature handcrafted glass pumpkins in a variety of sizes, styles and colors. Organizers say the unique pieces are suitable for seasonal decorations and gifts.
The Palisades-Malibu YMCA, established in 1844, is a nonprofit that offers recreational programs and activities for families.
