Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes during these periods
The California Department of Transportation announced lane reductions on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) south of Big Rock (post mile 42.2) for a secant wall project, affecting traffic on Friday, Sept. 26, and Monday, Sept. 29.
On Friday, northbound PCH will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
On Monday, both northbound and southbound lanes will be limited to one lane each from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closures are necessary to shift and re-stripe lanes and install k-rail, according to Caltrans.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes during these periods.
