The event invites riders, community members, and stakeholders to discuss recent safety upgrades, pilot programs, and future priorities
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is set to host a virtual Community Listening Session on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., focusing on enhancing safety across its transit system.
The event, organized by Metro’s Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), invites riders, community members, and stakeholders to discuss recent safety upgrades, pilot programs, and future priorities.
PSAC, composed of community leaders and stakeholders, collaborates with Metro to shape safety policies and initiatives, ensuring public input guides the work of the agency’s Department of Public Safety. The session will provide a structured platform for participants to learn about ongoing improvements and voice their concerns or suggestions directly with Metro staff and committee members. Spanish interpretation and other language support will be offered, with all perspectives welcomed.
For those unable to join live, Metro has opened its Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) online platform, where materials, videos, and feedback options will be available from Oct. 23 to Nov. 20.
Requests for accommodations, interpretation, or translated materials must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance by calling (213) 364-2837 or emailing psac@metro.net.
