Eight-Story Mixed-Use Development Brings 280 Homes, a Vons Supermarket, and an Equinox Fitness Club to the Heart of Santa Monica’s Transit Hub.

A $385 million mixed-use complex developed by Related California has officially opened in Downtown Santa Monica. The project, located at 700 Broadway, combines 196 market-rate apartments with 84 affordable units, alongside major retail anchors including a 60,000-square-foot Vons supermarket and a 34,000-square-foot Equinox Fitness Club. The eight-story development occupies a full city block bordered by Broadway, 7th Street, and Lincoln Boulevard.

Designed by Large Architecture with interiors by Marmol Radziner and landscaping by Studio-MLA, 700 Broadway blends modern design with Southern California’s coastal sensibility. The building’s centerpiece is The Grove, a private three-quarter-acre park landscaped with century-old olive trees, outdoor dining areas, and an indoor-outdoor fitness pavilion.

The property features more than 67,000 square feet of amenities, including a rooftop deck with panoramic views from Malibu to Palos Verdes. The outdoor space includes a 75-foot lap pool, spa, sauna barrels, fire pits, and barbecue areas. Inside, residents have access to a coworking hub, private conference rooms, and entertainment spaces such as The Lounge and The Reserve, a speakeasy-inspired bar and screening room complete with a two-lane bowling alley.

The apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom layouts, feature open-plan kitchens with oak cabinetry, quartzite counters, and Bosch and Thermador appliances. Bathrooms are outfitted with porcelain tile, quartzite vanities, and Robern mirrored cabinets, while smart home touches include Nest thermostats and keyless entry systems.

Upper-level residences in The 700 Collection offer 10-foot ceilings, Calacatta Monet marble finishes, wine refrigerators, and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles skyline.

Rental prices begin at $3,995 for studios, $5,555 for one-bedrooms, $8,400 for two-bedrooms, and $12,450 for three-bedroom units, according to the rental website.
