Fine California Coastal Dining, Modern Indian Food, Sushi, and Even Some Traditional Thanksgiving Meals Await
Restaurants on the Westside are rolling out an expansive lineup of Thanksgiving menus, take-home meals, non-traditional meals, and holiday events, offering diners everything from traditional turkey dinners to modern Indian biryanis, sushi family packs, and specialty pies. This year’s options highlight the city’s breadth of international flavors and community-focused celebrations.
Fitoor Santa Monica is offering a holiday takeout package built around its modern Indian specialties. The $210 meal serves four and includes a choice of Lamb Shank Biryani, Tandoori Chicken Biryani, or Paneer Lababdar, along with Tandoori Broccoli or Chicken Poppers. The spread also features Dal Makhani, Malabar Partha, raita, salan, and a Pear Pie Tart for dessert.
Pickups are scheduled for November 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with orders due November 24. You can order the meal here.
In Santa Monica, Marelle’s Thanksgiving menu brings a refined coastal California sensibility to the holiday table, featuring a selection of elevated classics and vibrant seasonal sides. Guests can choose from Herb-Roasted Turkey brushed with garlic butter and maple, Cedar Plank Salmon finished with a maple-Dijon glaze, Roasted Acorn Squash generously filled with quinoa and cranberries, or an herb-crusted Prime Rib served with horseradish cream and red wine jus.
The meal comes with an intriguing amuse bouche: a pumpkin ricotta tartlet with a fried sage Parmesan crisp.
Shared sides showcase comforting and fresh flavors, including a Harvest Apple & Sausage Bake with sourdough stuffing, a Quinoa Pilaf studded with toasted pecans and dried cherries, and silky pomme purée mashed potatoes. Starters feature elegant Endive Canoes layered with blue cheese, pear, and walnuts, alongside Sweet Potato Medallions topped with whipped feta and bright pomegranate. For dessert, diners can choose between a Pumpkin Cheesecake with a gingersnap crust or a warm Apple Galette accented with thyme, honey, and vanilla ice cream

For those looking beyond traditional turkey, Katana and Sushi Roku are selling sushi family packs built for gatherings. Options include the Allstar Family Pack, featuring signature rolls such as the Katana, Senshi, White Lotus, and Baked Crab, and the Sushi Family Pack, which adds dressed nigiri, edamame, and miso soup. Packs serve up to four guests and are available for pickup or delivery.
Hollywood Distillery will hold a Friendsgiving event on November 21 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., pairing house cocktails with pizza and board games. Mixes include the Oasis Rose with vodka, rose water, and date syrup; the Bourbon Smash made with pomegranate and mint; and The Sting, a martini-style drink using gin or vodka with olive brine.
Fiorelli Pizza in Beverly Grove is collecting pantry donations for Miriam’s House, as the recent lack of SNAP benefits leaves many families struggling during the holiday season. The restaurant recently opened and is using the Thanksgiving period to support local residents in need.
The Culver Hotel will host a seated Thanksgiving meal on November 27 from noon to 8:00 p.m. The three-course menu begins with a Bread Board with whipped ricotta, followed by a Market Salad. Entrée choices include turkey with gravy, bavette steak with tarragon béarnaise, or butternut squash rigatoni. Sides such as pomme purée, Brussels sprouts, and heirloom carrots are served family-style.

Socalo to Offer Chef-Crafted Take Home Meals: Socalo’s Thanksgiving meal kit includes sliced herb-roasted turkey, thyme-sage gravy, green beans with shallots, citrus-honey yams, cranberry relish, mushroom and sage stuffing, and smashed fingerlings with chimichurri for two. The kit is designed for easy reheating at home and was developed by the chefs. While it may not be their usual Mexican food, it will be quality and delicious.
