A city initiative designed to help small and local businesses compete for contracts has secured more than $45 million in agreements, officials announced.
The ProcureLA program, launched in October 2024 and run by the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment, provides training and resources to prepare businesses for contracting opportunities tied to upcoming major events, including the FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl and 2028 Olympics.
More than 100 businesses have enrolled in the program, with outreach reaching over 3,000 companies. The awarded contracts have gone to a range of businesses, including food service, wellness, construction and other sectors.
