Baseball Roundup:

Palisades High, which has won the Western League baseball championship the last four years, is off to a 5-0 start this season in league games.

 Most recently Palisades defeated Westchester, 14-1 and 12-3, and University, 12-2. Pali also lost a non-league game to St. Paul, 5-3. Overall, the Dolphins have a 9-9 record.

 Palisades began league play by defeating Venice twice, 8-6 and 9-5. Venice has won league games from University, 9-5, and Fairfax, 16-5. Keaton Frey drove in four runs and Daniel Hordo three against Fairfax.

 St. Monica lost a pair of Del Rey League games to Bishop Montgomery, 7-0 and 4-3. In the second game the Mariners gave up four runs in the first inning, rallied with three in the sixth, but fell short.

 New Roads began its Harbor League schedule with an 18-2 loss to Amino of Inglewood. The Jaguars are 3-6 overall.
