Lions Serve Up Pancakes:

The Santa Monica Lions Club hosted its 54th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, September 6, amid the skateboarding ramps in the courtyard of the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club on Lincoln Boulevard. Over 300 people sat down to sausage and eggs with juice and coffee, as well as the pancakes (choice of plain or blueberry), as they mingled with their neighbors in the tradition of small-town America.

The Lions provide support to a variety of beneficiaries, including the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club, the Santa Monica YMCA and YWCA, the Junior Blind, Salvation Army, and the Santa Monica Police Activities League (PAL). The service organization meets every Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at the Best Western Gateway Hotel at Santa Monica Boulevard and 20th Street, and always welcomes new faces.
