All That Glitters: Sotheby’s Century City Previews Stunning Auction Pieces

On Dec. 7, 8 & 9, Sotheby’s New York will hold an Important Watches, Magnificent Jewels and a Fine Jewels Auction. Sotheby’s in Century City recently hosted a viewing party and cocktail reception for all three auctions, before the items were shipped to New York.

The December Magnificent Jewels sale also includes property from the collection of Marjorie S. Fisher of Palm Beach with pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and JAR. Among the highlights were an 18.04 karat, D color marquise-shaped diamond ring, ‘Mystery-Set’ bracelets by Van Cleef & Arpels, and a ‘Tutti Frutti’ bracelet by Cartier.

Other jewels include those from the family of Betsey Cushing Whitney and John Hay Whitney.

The Important Watches Collection also included a rare yellow gold Patek Philippe perpetual calendar, a rare yellow gold chronograph Rolex, and a fine white gold tonneau semi-skeletonized tourbillon wristwatch by Richard Mille.
