Average Price of Gas Rises 3/10 of a Cent

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Thursday to $3.037, its highest amount since March 21.

The average price has risen seven of the past nine days, increasing 2 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.5 cents higher than one week ago and 19.1 cents more than one year ago but 2.8 cents less than one month ago.
