Big Blue Bus Holiday Service Schedule Changes Approach:

Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus is urging bus users to take note of its holiday service schedule.

The following temporary service changes will be in effect this holiday season:

Christmas & New Year’s Day

— Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, and Rapid 10 will operate on a Sunday schedule. All other routes will not be in service.

— Route 4 will operate via the weekend routing around the VA Hospital.

— Route 6. Service is canceled from Wednesday, December 18 – Sunday, January 5. Regular service will resume Monday, January 6.

— UCLA Riders: Hilgard Terminal Closed Dec. 20 until Thursday, January 2 at 7 a.m.

— Routes 1, 2, 3, 8, 11 and 12: All trips (day and night) will use the Charles E. Young Dr./P2 Transit Hub.

— Note Rapid 12 will continue regular service to and from Charles E. Young Dr./P2 Transit Hub.

Transit Store and Customer Service Holiday Hours

— Christmas Eve: 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

— Christmas Day: Closed

— New Year’s Eve: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

— New Year’s Day: Closed
