City Seeks Community Input on Public Art in Santa Monica

What is the role of public art in Santa Monica? How can it benefit the community? What locations and places in Santa Monica would you like to see public art?

The City of Santa Monica invites you to help shape the future of public art in Santa Monica by participating in a community forum in conjunction with the development of a citywide Public Art Master Plan. The opinions gathered will inform recommendations in the Public Art Master Plan, which is projected for completion in the spring of 2018.

Join in the conversation to guide Santa Monica’s future investment in public art. The program, including a brief presentation of current public art projects around the country, will be the same at the following two community forums, which are open to everyone:

Saturday, July 29

Virginia Avenue Park

2200 Virginia Avenue

10-11:30 a.m.

Wednesday, August 2

Santa Monica Main Public Library

601 Santa Monica Boulevard

6-7:30 p.m.

Can’t attend? Take a public art survey

Another way to participate in the discussion about public art in Santa Monica is by taking a short online survey at https://docs.google.com/forms/u/0/d/e/1FAIpQLScDFIF-ictU-0eco3Wr4jAsujrbhKz-_g8Dmp5Kl8DlBE4KBg/viewform?usp=sf_link.
