Halloween is a major L.A. holiday, and so there are any number of Halloween happenings scheduled over the weekend. Herewith, the latest round: Pirates Will Play Free Round of Min-Golf Children who appear in traditional pirate garb will get a free round of miniature golf, Saturday, October 29 through Monday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and noon to 7 p.m. on Monday. For a complimentary round, pirates should simply present themselves at the Pirates’ Pier Min-Golf entrance. The design of Pacific Park’s Pirates’ Pier Mini Golf course is based on legends of pirates off the California coast that date back to 1577. Waldorf School Offers Alternative The Westside Waldorf School will hold its annual Halloween Enchantment Festival on October 30, from 5 to 9 p.m. on the Westside Waldorf Campus in Santa Monica. It’s based on a combination of harvest celebrations and fairy tales. Children are guided by an angel through classrooms that have been transformed into magical realms. SmART Space Is Giving a Party A community creative arts enrichment center, SmART Space, will celebrate Halloween on Monday, October 31, with a creative party and story-time for kids from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., complete with Halloween art projects, scary and funny Halloween stories, and healthy Halloween treats. All activities are free and open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to come in costume.SmART Space is located at 12958 Washington Boulevard in West Culver City.
