Health Officials Say Stay Away From Ocean Near Storm Drains:

With the first rain of the autumn flushing crud into storm drains, health officials have warned against touching water near storm runoff that flows into the ocean.

Bacteria and bad chemicals can be washed into the ocean from such drains and creeks, according to the Department of Public Health.

No beaches have been closed, and the advisory extends only to coastline near drains and creeks.
