A March for Women’s Equal Rights! took place on Venice Boardwalk on Sunday, August 22, culminating at Windward Plaza. Currently Venice Beach women cannot go topless, it is illegal for them to show their nipples, so in complete constitutional equality, the men covered their chests as well. Women wore red tape in an “X” across their nipples while the men wore a red bikini top. Similar events have taken place around the country to stand up for women’s right to freely go topless.
