Los Angeles soulful singer Rory Partin will perform tonight at Typhoon in Santa Monica at 8 pm in advance of his new album release on Tuesday.
The new album features the late great Opry/Cajun music legend Jimmy C Newman and an all-star band with some of the last surviving members of legendary big bands like Tommy Dorsey, Bobby Darin, and Harry James.
The self-titled album takes listeners on a journey through American music history – from swing standards including “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” to contemporary classics like “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me.”
