The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts and Music Departments presents “Plaid Tidings” Dec. 6-15, at the Theatre Arts Main Stage on the SMC main campus, 1900 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica.

The charming holiday extravaganza by Stuart Ross is a fun-filled production for all ages. Adapted from ‘Forever Plaid,’ the performance features vocal and musical arrangements by James Raitt, Brad Ellis, Raymond Berg, and David Snyder.

“Plaid Tidings” brings back the Plaids, a singing quartet summoned to earth by the heavenly Rosemary Clooney to put a little cheer and harmony into this world, with their own hilarious tribute to classics from the days of Ed Sullivan and the jukebox era.

Show times are 8 pm on Friday, Dec. 6 and 13, and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 14. Matinees are at 2 pm on Sunday, Dec. 8, and on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15.

Advance tickets range from $17 to $20 ($10 for preview), plus a service charge, and can be purchased by going to www.smc.edu/eventsinfo or by calling 310.434.4319.

Tickets are $3 higher at the door. Parking is free on Friday evenings and weekends.
