Santa Monica Man, 21, Arrested For Pushing Girlfriend Into Brick Wall:

A 21-year-old Santa Monica man was arrested on Friday, July 12 on a domestic violence charge after pushing his girlfriend into a brick wall and punching her in the face.

At 3:33 am officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the area of Berkeley Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in order to investigate a fight.

When the officers arrived they spoke with the reporting party, or RP, who told them she had seen a man and a woman standing close to her front door whilst they were yelling at each other.

The man had then extended both his arms and proceeded to push the woman in her back, forcing her to collide with a brick wall.

The RP told the officers the argument had continued until the man raised his hand and punched the woman forcibly in the face.

The man had then left the area heading northbound towards an alley west of Berkeley Street.

Other officers had been told to be on the lookout for this man and he was subsequently discovered and detained.

The RP identified this man during a field show up and based upon the RP’s statements this Santa Monica man was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
