Westside Beat: Refugees in Santa Monica

Meet Marissa Alemán, a survivor of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and a Puerto Rican refugee. Marissa and her family are currently in Santa Monica, California thanks to her daughter Laura’s extensive outreach which eventually connected her with the Warrior Angels Rescue. Chella has the story on the #grassroots efforts that are helping to save this refugee family.
