Years ago, the La Monica Ballroom, built in 1924, provided ballroom dancing on the Santa Monica Pier. This recreation of the ballroom dancing experience will feature music by Johnny Vana and the big Band Alumni and the Squirrel Nut Zippers. The first dance of the evening will feature dancers who attended the original Ballroom. La Monica veterans who want to dance should call 310.458.8900 to reserve a spot.

Suzy Williams’ show of original songs by or based on the works of, literary figures has become an annual event at Beyond Baroque. This year, Suzy’s repertoire includes songs by Kurt Vonnegut, Dorothy Parker, Truman Capote, and Charles Baudelaire. Accompaniment will be by Brad Kay and special musical guests.
