2005 SQA Winners Are Announced:

The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and the City of Santa Monica have announced this year’s Sustainable Quality Award (SQA) winners.

For ten years the SQA program has honored local organizations and businesses large and small, which make extraordinary contributions to our community.

Sustainable Quality Awards have been given to the Urth Café and Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.

The Liberty Hill Foundation has received an Excellence Award for Environmental Stewardship and Social Responsibility.

An Excellence Award for Economic Development and Environmental Stewardship has gone to Bubble Beach Laundry.

Excellence Awards for Environmental Stewardship have been given to Gladstein, Neandross and Associates Lululemon and Getty Images.

Pugh + Scarpa Architects have won a Leadership Award for Sustainable Design.

And a Great Start Award has been given to California Recycles.

The awards will be presented at the Sustainable Quality Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 3 , from 11:30 to 1p.m. at the Doubletree Guest Suites.
