In four days, April 14 to 18, the Malibu Film Festival (MFF) will screen over 30 films at the American Cinematheque’s Aero Theater in Santa Monica. On the program are Short Live Action Films, Animated Short Films, Short Subject Documentary Films, Feature Length Documentary Films and Narrative Feature Films. Among the 30 films are five world premieres, nine West Coast premieres, three Los Angeles Premieres and four Academy Award Nominated shorts.Awards night will be held at Wolfgang Puck’s Granita Restaurant in Malibu. In addition to honoring the festival’s winning films and filmmakers, an Award for Achievement in the Arts will be presented to actor Pierce Brosnan, a Malibu resident.
