Carl R. Terzian, founder and chairman of Carl Terzian Associates, will be honored by The League for Children (TLC), a fund raising auxiliary for Children’s Bureau, for his forty-plus years of outstanding community service at TLC’S annual family event “Polo in the Park” Saturday, June 18, at Will Rogers Historic State Park in Pacific Palisades.

Proceeds from the event, which will begin at 12:30 p.m., will benefit prevention programs aimed at helping abused and neglected children served by Children’s Bureau throughout Southern California.

Over the years, Terzian has been president of the California Pediatrics Center and the Southern California Youth Leadership Foundation; vice president of the Los Angeles Business Council and Project Concern; regent of California Lutheran University; trustee of Woodbury University; an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association; and a director of a variety of non-profits.

He has been honored for his civic and professional leadership by Congress, Her Majesty the Queen of England, California Assembly and Senate, City and County of Los Angeles, USC, Boy Scouts of America, California Junior Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Business Council, United Way, and the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. The League for Children is one of Children’s Bureau’s longest-standing auxiliary groups co-founded by Lois Linkletter. The auxiliary has raised more than $2.5 million since it was formed in 1986. Art Linkletter is Master of Ceremonies of the fundraiser and Polo enthusiast Ambassador Glen Holden is Honorary Chairman.
