826LA Panel Tackles TV Drama:

On July 31, from 5 to 8 p.m., television writers will take part in a seminar for aspiring writers, “Writing Television Drama.”

In addition to discussing the writing process, the panelists will cover such practical issues as spec scripts, contacting agents, and the role of show runners.

The panelists include Eli Attie, supervising producer, “West Wing,” Todd A. Kessler, producer, “The Sopranos” and “Robbery-Homicide.” Peter Blake. consulting producer, “The Practice” and “House.” and Lisa Harrison, an agent at Endeavor.

826LA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

“With this in mind, we provide free drop-in tutoring, after-school workshops, in-schools tutoring, help for English language learners, and assistance with student publications.
