Agape International will host a training workshop to support the goal of creating a U.S. Department of Peace. Over 500 people are expected to participate in the workshop, headed by DoP National Campaign Coordinator Lynn McMullen. Says McMullen, “California, with the largest Congressional delegation in the country, is absolutely key in bringing peace and nonviolence into the forefront of U.S. politics.” The focus of the event will be teaching skills and giving information that will help advance legislation currently before Congress calling for the creation of a Federal-level Department of Peace. The free, all-day workshop will be held at Agape’s headquarters, 5700 Buckingham Parkway, Culver City, from 9:30am-4:30pm. To register, email peace@agapelive.com, call 310.348.1260 x604 or go to www.agapelive.com.
