The Santa Monica Democratic Club has joined with neighboring Democratic Clubs in Malibu and Pacific Palisades to sponsor a candidate forum on Sunday, April 2 at 1pm at the Women’s Club, 901 Haverford in Pacific Palisades. All Democratic candidates for the State offices have been invited to attend. Confirmed speakers include gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides. “In a state with a high democratic registration such as California, the Democratic Primary winner is a likely successor to the office,” according to Julie Lopez Dad, President of the Santa Monica Democratic Club. “It’s important for members of the public to have a chance to hear from candidates in person before voting in June so that they can decide who best reflects their values,” she said. For more information and to reserve your seat, call 310.230.2084. A $10 donation is recommended. The forum is open to the public. Refreshments served.
