Earlier this month, several UCLA faculty were awarded the 2006 Rosenfield Distinguished Community Partnership Prize. The prize recognizes collaborations between UCLA faculty and community-based organizations.Two local recipients were Susan B. Edelstein, TIES program director and UCLA School of Public Health lecturer, for her work with Westside Children’s Center, and Kevin McCardle, UCLA Anderson School of Management professor, for his collaboration with St. Joseph Service Center, which serves poor and homeless people in West Los Angeles.
