Heal the Bay’s Annual Shindig:

Over 1,000 people attended Heal the Bay’s “Bring Back The Beach,” celebrating the organization’s 21sts anniversary.  Surprise guest Brian Wilson delighted the crowd at Barker Hangar with “California Girls” and “Surfin’ USA.”  Volleyball player Gabrielle Reece and her husband, surfer Laird Hamilton, were honored at the event with the Dorothy Green award for their activism.

Heal the Bay’s most recent beach report card was featured in last week’s Mirror.  Local beaches receiving “F” ratings included Will Rogers Beach at Chautauqua and the Santa Monica Pier.
