SMC Splits First Two Basketball Games:

The Santa Monica College men’s basketball teams have begun the season by splitting two games. SMC lost to Trade Tech, 87-52, and defeated Cypress, 55-53.

As usual, the Corsairs will be playing in holiday tournaments before launching their Western State Conference schedule. SMC will play in the Saddleback Tournament, followed by the one at College of the Desert.

The first conference game will be January 3 at West Los Angeles. The first home conference game will be January 10 against Bakersfield, followed by a home game January 13 against LA Valley.

Conference games will have 5:30 p.m. tip-offs this season.
