Los Angeles Veterans for Peace commemorated the fourth anniversary of the Iraq War by setting up the Arlington West Memorial on both Saturday & Sunday, March 17 and 18, with an overnight candlelight vigil beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Actor Martin Sheen, rap star MC Hammer, Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom, Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, Gold Star Mothers Vickie Castro and Susan House, Iraq Veterans Jeff Key and Tim Goodrich, Peace Activist Jerry Rubin, The New Directions Choir, Veterans for Peace, artists, performers and supporters participated. The memorial is located at Santa Monica beach, north of the pier and has taken place every Sunday and on most holiday weekends since March 2004.
