Eek-A-Mouse, April 15, doors open 7pm
Perhaps the King of Jamaican dance hall DJs, Eek-A-Mouse (born Ripton Hilton) procured his unusual moniker from a racehorse he kept losing money on. This unique artist is an alumnus of Montego Bay, Jamaica’s famed Reggae Sunsplash, and combines elements of Raga, Roots Reggae and dancehall. Eek’s delectable delicacy of island flavor has produced memorable hit singles such as “Once a Virgin,” “Wa-Do-Em” and “Modeling Queen.”
