Living with History in the Fall Salon House:

Sunday, October 23, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm
In addition to being a stellar example of architect John Byers’ work, the Armstrong-Cobb House, site of this year’s Fall Salon, was once home to movie actresses such as Greta Garbo and Bette Davis. In later years it belonged to the Burns family. Bob Burns owned a popular restaurant bearing his name, formerly located at Second and Wilshire. The Burns children grew up in the home, and Beth and Bonnie are now the proprietors of Marmalade on Montana Avenue and donors of the delectable hors d’oeuvres we will enjoy at our salon.
