The Santa Monica High softball team began the CIF playoffs by defeating Burbank, 1-0, in nine innings Friday, May 18. The game was played at Samohi.
With the victory, the Vikings moved into the second round with an overall record of 26-3. Coach Debbie Skaggs chose not to reveal individual statistics this season
