Santa Monica Library Joins Dodgers’ Reading Program:

The Santa Monica Library is one of several throughout Southern California that will participate in the Dodgers’ Summer Reading Program.

Participants must sign up at the library and devote 10 hours to reading or being read to.

An incentive will be tickets to the Dodgers’ Aug. 5 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Guidelines established by the library must be followed to qualify.

In addition to seeing the game, participants and one parent can be in a pre-game parade on the field.

“The perfect way to advocate summer reading is to offer a fun incentive such as a ticket to a baseball game,” said Howard Sunkin, the Dodgers’ Vice President of Public Affairs.         For information, call 323.224.1301.
