Henry Waxman Receives First Advocacy Award:

Congressman Henry Waxman is the recipient of the first American Cancer Society CAN California Distinguished Advocacy Award.

At the ceremony, held in Westwood earlier this month, Waxman, known for fighting tobacco companies in Congress, addressed the audience. “I know you are giving me this recognition for things I’ve accomplished in the past. However, know that I will stand with you to continue the fight against cancer and assist cancer patients as we work to end this disease.”
