Crossroads Has New Basketball Coaches:

Although the Crossroads boys and girls basketball teams made the CIF playoffs last season, both squads have new coaches.

Kevin Brown, who guided the Roadrunner boys to 16 wins in his first season, taking the program out of the depths, resigned to pursue a coaching opportunity in a foreign country involving Olympic Games qualifying. Since then, he has become a teacher at Inglewood High.

The new boys coach is Kevin Jackson, a former Crossroads player who had been the head coach at neighboring New Roads.

Danielle Minton is not returning as the girls coach and has been replaced by Kevin Cormier. He inherits a team that reached the CIF semi-finals with two sophomores and three freshmen in the starting lineup.

The Roadrunner girls will begin their season in the Palisades Tournament November 26. Then they’ll be in the Buckley Tournament, and will play their first home game December 11 against New Roads.
