St. Monica Ends Winless Season:

Although the St. Monica football team scored two touchdowns in a game for the first time this season the Mariners lost to Mary Star, 28-14 Friday night, November 9 at Daniels Field in San Pedro.

St. Monica’s season ended with an 0-10 record. The Mariners are 1-29 in the last three years.

St. Monica was outscored by its 10 opponents 402-27. St. Monica scored six points in its opening game against St. Anthony and seven against Cantwell-Sacred Heart.

Mary Star (5-5) earned a CIF playoff berth with the win.
