Baseball Roundup:

Palisades High, 15-0 in the Western League last season, was hoping to duplicate that feat after winning its first 11 games.

However, the Dolphins lost to Westchester, 4-3. In the two previous games the Dolphins defeated Venice 15-0 and won a non-league game from Culver City, 5-2. Their overall record is 16-11.

Venice is 5-6 in the league and 8-17 overall.

St. Monica split with La Salle, winning 2-1 before losing 17-3. The Mariners are 4-15 overall, including 1-9 in the Del Rey League.

New Roads had a 13-0 win over Lennox Academy, a 4-2 win over Rolling Hills Prep, a forfeit victory over Ribet Academy, and an 8-6 loss to Animo.

Although the Jaguars are only 8-8 overall, they have a 5-2 record in the Harbor League.

Crossroads fell to 0-6 in the Alpha League by following two losses to Brentwood with two more to Calvary Chapel, 5-1 and 9-4. The Roadrunners have broken even in non-league games for an overall record of 6-12.
