Chatsworth Eliminates Palisades Again:

For the second consecutive year, Palisades High’s baseball season ended in a playoff loss to Chatsworth.

A year ago, a major controversy was created when seven batters in Chatsworth’s nationally prominent lineup were hit by pitches as Pali lost, 11-1. Following an investigation of whether Pali pitchers were throwing at hitters intentionally, Palisades coach Tom Seyler resigned, remaining at the school in another capacity.

Chatsworth isn’t considered nearly as powerful this season, but still defeated Palisades in a second round Los Angeles City Section playoff game, 10-2 on Friday, May 23.

Palisades, who repeated as Western League champion in Mike Voelkel’s first season as coach, had won its first round playoff game, defeating Banning, 3-2.

The Dolphins’ overall record was 20-12.
