Venice Art Walk ’08:: the New, the Recycled, the Legendary, and the Unexpected

This year’s Venice Art Walk Studio Tours and Silent Art Auction features tours of more than 60 private Venice artists’ studios and special exhibits. The silent auction of more than 400 original works of art including paintings, sculpture, graphics, photography, ceramics, cartoons, and furniture donated by Peter Alexander, Don Bachardy, John Baldessari, Billy Al Beng­ston, Tony Berlant, Laddie John Dill, Ned Evans, Jimi Gleason, Salomon Huerta, Arturo Mallmann, Manfred Menz, E.T. Risk, Ed Ruscha, Peter Shire, Hiro Yamagata, and many others. All proceeds from the event benefit Venice Family Clinic, providing free, quality health care to people in need.

In addition to the Silent Art Auction, the Food Faire, live music, and the Artful Living auction of fun and functional lifestyle items will be located at Westminster School.

WHEN: Venice Art Walk Studio Tours and Silent Art Auction: Sunday, May 18, 2008, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm

WHERE: All events begin at Westminster School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice, CA 90291. Free shuttle buses run throughout the day. See map below for available parking.

TICKETS: Tickets are available at www.veniceartwalk.info or 310.392.WALK (9255). On Sunday tickets will be available for purchase at Westminster School for $50.00.
