The Getty Center opened its doors for the Second Annual Media Appreciation Day. Festivities included a Family Drawing Hour where youngsters of all ages created their own version of the collection. Media Day was produced in conjunction with the Maria Sibylla Merian & Daughters: Women of Art and Science exhibition. Merian, a 17th century German pioneer in art, business, and science, fields where women were virtually excluded, will be on display through August 31.
