DUI Checkpoint September 12:

On Friday, September 12, in the 300 block of Pico Boulevard, the Santa Monica Police Department will conduct a Sobriety / Driver License checkpoint. The time of day was not released by SMPD. The checkpoint will confirm drivers’ sobriety and driver license status.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Santa Monica Police Department reminds drivers: If you plan on drinking, have a designated driver or call a taxi cab.
