Brentwood Defeats Calvary Chapel Easily:

Two football games in six days were no problem for Brentwood School’s football team, which romped to a 25-0 victory over Calvary Chapel on Thursday, October 23.

Although Brentwood had little time to prepare after winning its previous game over Campbell Hall on a Saturday, the Eagles did all the scoring in the first half of the Alpha League contest played at Downey High.

Ray Nicholson scored the first eight points on a two-yard touchdown run and subsequent two-point conversion reception. Josh Amster had a 35-yard touchdown on an interception return, and Charlie James ended the first half with a 20-yard field goal.

Another highlight was Brett Pierce’s two interception, giving him seven pick-offs in seven games.

Brentwood, which has a 6-1 record, will be home Friday, October 31 against Marshall at 3:30 p.m.
