The Santa Monica High wrestling team took third place in the Nogales Super Champs Tournament by scoring 140 points.
Sam Syed and Ben Yura both won individual championships. Derek Shapiro placed third and Ryan Poindexter eighth.
“Nearly everyone on the team contributed to this very significant finish in one of the toughest fields around,” said varsity coach Brent Wright.
