A.R. Gurney’s play is the story of a relationship that lasts from childhood to middle age and is told entirely through the letters of the two characters. This production is a benefit for the Westwood School, a non-profit school that helps students with learning differences. The stars are Brooke Adams and Tony Shalhoub (pictured), both familiar faces from TV. The $100 admission price includes access to a post-performance reception with Shalhoub.

SPARC (Social and Public Art Resource Center) presents a monthly show “Planet Siquieros Pena,” now beginning its second year. The first evening of the new year features “four friends who make music together,” Angi Neff, Ericka Verba, Ann Polhemus, and Lisa Hornung, who will sing about “people’s struggles of the past and present.” The Santa Monica Guitar Ensemble will also be playing.
