Venice Gets Home Playoff Game:

Venice High has been awarded a home game in the second round of the Los Angeles City Section Division 2 boy’s basketball playoffs.

The Gondoliers (14-13) had a bye in the first round.

They’re seeded fourth and were scheduled to host the No. 5 seed, El Camino Real.

The Palisades boys lost a Division 1 first- round game to Dorsey, 72-70. The Palisades girls were eliminated by Fremont, 61-49.
