For the first time in two seasons Santa Monica High allowed a run in an Ocean League game, but by the time it happened the Vikings were on their way to another easy victory.Samohi had a 16-0 lead over Hawthorne before giving up the run in a 16-1 victory. The rout began when Samohi scored nine runs in the first inning.Earlier last week Samohi blanked Beverly Hills, 10-0, but the team’s skein of 10 consecutive shutouts ended in a 3-0 non-league loss to El Segundo. Samohi then won another non-league game, 1-0 over Valencia.Andrea Linares is batting .500, Meghan Bradley .393 and Emma Woo .348.St. Monica won Camino Real league games from Mary Star, 6-3 and St. Bernard, 13-1, advancing its record to 11-9, including 4-2 in league play.Danielle Cullen is hitting .421. Haleigh Pellecer and Kiana Dotson are at .333.New Roads lost to Lennox Academy, 19-18 and Rolling Hills Prep, 12-0. The Jaguars’ record is 1-6.Brentwood was defeated by Calvary Chapel, 8-2 and Montclair Prep, 5-4. The Eagles are 6-11 overall, including 4-3 in the Delphic League.Venice’s Danielle Mestas, who also pitches, has a .500 batting average with six of the team’s nine home runs this season and 38 RBI.Palisades had 11-6 wins over Malibu and LACES, improving to 10-7 overall and 7-5 in the Western League.Emily Noel is batting .475.
