St. Monica Prepares For Veer Offense:

In its opening game of the football season Friday night, St. Monica will work against a complex offense that it might not see again all season.

Mary Star uses a veer offense and St. Monica Coach Larry Muno saw it Friday night when Mary Star opened with a close loss to Bishop Montgomery.

“It features option plays and it’s quite confusing to the opponent,” said Muno.

St. Monica will travel to San Pedro for the game. It won its final one last season at Salesian to end a four-year, 37-game losing streak.
