The Bomb Squad from The Santa Monica Police Department were called to investigate a report of suspicious packages at 5th and Wilshire at approx 9:45 a.m. today, Friday, October 9th. The Bomb Squad used detonators to discover if the packages were safe or not. The packages turned out to be of no threat.
