The pattern was the same in the sixth week of the high school football season. Venice won again and Palisades lost again.
As Western League competition began Venice defeated University, 20-2, the Gondoliers’ fifth victory in six games. Meanwhile, Palisades was shut out by Westchester, 20-0, and now has an 0-6 record.
On Friday Venice will play at Palisades. The teams have played some highly competitive games in the past but the Dolphins will have to improve their play.Venice’s only loss was to Oaks Christian, a team that is ranked nationally.
